EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior Roshane Ellison scored off an assist from freshman Jeremy Cheeseman 4:38 into the second period to open the scoring as No. 5 East Stroudsburg University improved to 3-0 in the PSAC East with a 2-1 victory over visiting West Chester.

The goal was the sixth of the season for Ellison, who leads the Warriors (5-1, 3-0) in scoring. Cheeseman added a second goal for ESU minutes later, at 8:11 into the second period, with the assist coming from senior Kevin Holmes to give ESU a 2-0 lead. West Chester (4-2-1, 1-2) added a goal by Mike Pryor late in the second period to make the final score 2-1.

Sophomore goalkeeper Troy Hernandez made four saves for ESU between the pipes, while senior Garrett Santora made five saves for West Chester.

The Warriors return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 17 when they travel to Bloomsburg for a PSAC East game starting at 7:30 p.m.
