CALIFORNIA - Senior Kevin Holmes scored the game's only goal in the 23rd minute as No. 6 East Stroudsburg University won for the sixth straight time, 1-0 at California, in a PSAC crossover game on Saturday.

Holmes scored his fourth goal of the season on an assist from senior Jason Shegda and the Warriors defense did the rest, limiting the Vulcans (4-2-2) to three shots.

Junior goalkeeper Larry Pokrywa made three saves for his first shutout of the season and the 14th of his career at ESU, which improves to 7-1 on the season.

The Warriors return to PSAC East action on Wednesday when they host Millersville at 5 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
