Millersville Knocks Off No. 4 ESU Men's Soccer

EAST STROUDSBURG - Sean McLaughlin scored two goals to lead Millersville to a 4-1 win over No. 4 East Stroudsburg University in an early season match-up between PSAC East men's soccer unbeatens on Wednesday at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

The Marauders remain undefeated in conference play with a 4-0 record, while ESU falls to 4-1. The Warriors were ranked No. 4 in the NSCAA/adidas coaches poll that was released Tuesday.

Adam Santeusanio knocked home a header 11 minutes into the game to give Millersville a 1-0 lead, and McLaughlin scored the first of his two goals 11:24 before halftime. He found the net again 11:02 into the second half.

Jeremy Yoder added a goal on a corner kick six minutes later, with the assists coming from Kyle Loughlin and Ryan Kiley.

Freshman Kyle Niemann scored ESU's goal, his second of the season, with five minutes remaining.

Matt Langione played 81 minutes in goal for Millersville before being lifted for Kurt Pleier.

ESU will look to rebound from its second loss of the season on Sunday at 1 p.m. vs. Davis & Elkins.
