EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior midfielder Roshane Ellison scored two goals as No. 4 East Stroudsburg University blanked No. 10 Davis & Elkins 3-0 in a men's soccer match-up of the top two teams in the Atlantic Region on Sunday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Ellison scored an unassisted goal in the 30th minute and knocked home a penalty kick in the 70th minute for the Warriors (8-2), giving him eight goals through the first 10 games.

Junior midfielder Shane McFarlane set up senior forward Kevin Holmes for ESU's final goal with 4:44 remaining.

Junior goalkeeper Larry Pokrywa posted his 16th career shutout and his third of the season. Timothy O'Toole made three saves for the Senators (7-2-1).

ESU held a 17-6 advantage in shots and controlled most of the play throughout the game to rebound from its second loss of the season last Wednesday.

The Warriors continue their challenging non-conference schedule on Wednesday against Wilmington University (Del.), which has spent significant time in the NSCAA/adidas Top 25 this season. Kickoff at Eiler-Martin Stadium is scheduled for 5 p.m., followed by the women's team taking on Mansfield at 7:30.
