EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University track and field athletes set four school records and seven NCAA provisional qualifying standards, led by juniors Andrew McCloskey, Rusty Smith and Paul Wagner, to lead a parade of 17 individual winners at the fourth annual ESU All-American Meet on Saturday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

McCloskey continued his remarkable outdoor season with another school record in the 200 meters, clocking a time of 21.35 seconds that was .13 faster than his previous record, and anchored the 4x100m relay team to a school record of 41.34 seconds, one-hundredth of a second under the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard. He was already a qualifier in the 200m and won the 100m in 10.66 seconds.

Asher Ashfield, Chris Reddick and Jeff McClenton ran the first three legs of the 4x100, Reddick won the 400m with a season-best time of 48.71 seconds and McClenton won the long jump with a mark of 22-9 1/4.

Smith's time of 14.46 seconds in the 110m hurdles bettered his school record of 14.67, which he had set three times over the past year, and made him the fifth ESU men's athlete to provisionally qualify for the NCAA championships. Smith has been a two-time indoor All-American for the Warriors but did not qualify due to injury during the outdoor season last year.

Wagner set the school record by nearly 11 feet in the hammer throw with a mark of 190-7, pulling him within three feet of the NCAA's automatic standard. He had hit the 175-179 foot mark several times in the last two years before launching his 190-foot throw on Saturday, and also won the shot put with a mark of 49-1.

Junior Kenny Cardullo joined teammate Bill Buis as a provisional qualifier in the javelin with a throw of 195-5 to win the event. His sister Allyson, a sophomore, won the women's javelin at 125-10.

Freshman Devyn Emerich cleared 5-6 1/2 in the high jump to become the first ESU women's athlete to reach the NCAA standard during the outdoor season and led a contingent of Warriors who took the top four spots. Junior Drew Miller bettered his NCAA mark in the triple jump by one-quarter of an inch with a performance of 47-8.

Junior Matt Gallup, a three-time PSAC champion in the pole vault, was a winner with a height of 15-6, freshman Sam Janssen took the 800m with a season-best time of 1:58.63, and the 4x400m relay team of Greg Pammer, Reddick, Ben Koch and Brandon Hillman gave the Warriors 13 overall winners on the men's side.

Sophomore Jasmine Johnson led the ESU women on the track, posting a victory in the 400m (57.32) and contributing to both the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams. Alyssa Rupp, Amilee Schillinger and Katherine Doyle also ran on the 4x100 team, while Schillinger, Johnson, Emily Hollick and Trina Carito contributed to the 4x400 squad. Hollick also won the 400m hurdles with a personal best of 1:06.00 and sophomore Brittany Knowles captured the 100m hurdles in 15.62 seconds.

Sophomore Danielle Laws had the top day for the women's throwers after winning the discus (129-4).

The Warriors continue their season this week at the prestigious Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
