PHILADELPHIA - Sophomore Jasmine Johnson ran the fastest 4x200m relay split in school history to pace East Stroudsburg University's performance at the Penn Relays on Friday at Franklin Field.

Johnson anchored the Warriors with a half-lap of 24.5 seconds and helped turn in a time of 1:44.05, the fourth-fastest by a women's 4x200m relay team at ESU. Senior Katherine Doyle led off with a split of 25.6 and senior Amilee Schillinger and junior Trina Carito ran the second and third legs. Natasha Jarrett had clocked the school's previous fastest time on the 4x200 relay and also holds the school record in the open 200 at 24.59.

ESU's men's 4x200m and 4x400m relays both had good days as well. The 4x200 squad got splits of 21.3 from junior Chris Reddick and 21.5 on the anchor leg from junior Andrew McCloskey and finished in 1:28.55. Junior Jeff McClenton ran the lead leg and sophomore Asher Ashfield was third after taking the baton from Reddick.

The Warriors ran a season-best time of 3:22.22 in the Wetzler/Pennsylvania 4x400 relay. Reddick, sophomore Greg Pammer and junior Rusty Smith, an All-American hurdler, ran the first three legs and McCloskey was the anchor.

Junior Paul Wagner recorded a mark of 47-5 3/4 to finish 19th in the men's eastern shot put and will compete in the hammer on Saturday, the event in which he improved his NCAA provisional qualifying mark by more than 11 feet last weekend.

Junior Matthew Gallup no-heighted at 15-3 in the men's college pole vault and will be in action at Lehigh on Saturday, with most of the rest of the Warriors men's and women's squads.

Four Warriors will remain in Philadelphia to compete in the Penn Relays on Saturday - Wagner, sophomore Bill Buis and junior Kenny Cardullo (javelin) and junior Drew Miller (triple jump).
