EAST STROUDSBURG – Redshirt senior midfielder Danny Drago scored the game-tying goal with 3:02 remaining in regulation, then assisted on redshirt senior midfielder Michael Kane's winning goal in overtime that lifted East Stroudsburg University to a 2-1 win over Gannon in a battle of nationally-ranked PSAC men's soccer programs on Saturday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Drago and Kane, members of two PSAC championship teams in their careers at ESU, brought the Warriors (8-2, 4-2) back after Afrim Latifi, the PSAC's leading scorer, put Gannon ahead with an unassisted goal in the 40th minute.

Senior goalkeeper Troy Hernandez had nine of his career-high 11 saves in the second half to keep the Warriors in the game before Drago struck with his third goal of the season, assisted by freshman midfielder Matthew Geidner, to pull the game all square in the closing minutes of regulation.

In overtime, Gannon managed one shot by Latifi that went wide of the target before Kane capitalized on Drago's setup for the game-winner. Kane is second on the team with four goals and had his second career game-winning goal.

Michael Kickel had eight saves in goal for Gannon (8-2, 3-1). The Golden Knights, ranked No. 17 in the NSCAA Coaches Poll, lost for the first time since their season opener after eight straight victories.

The Warriors are back in action on Wednesday with a trip to Shippensburg before hosting California next Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in the final home event of the day on Homecoming Weekend at ESU.
