ERIE – Ike Udanoh had 18 points and nine rebounds and freshman Bryan Coleman scored 18 points off the bench to lead Wayne State (Mich.) to an 82-63 win over East Stroudsburg University in the semifinals of the 37th Annual Porreco Cup on Wednesday night at the Hammermill Center at Gannon University.
ESU (5-2) will be back on the floor on Thursday night at 6 p.m. when they take on Seton Hill in the consolation game. Gannon posted a 71-67 win in the second semifinal, overcoming a 59-53 deficit with five minutes left, and will take on Wayne State in the championship game at 8 p.m.
Wayne State shot 48.5 percent and outrebounded ESU 56-34 to improve to 9-1, continuing their best start since the 1969-70 season. They led 43-33 at halftime, then opened the second half with a 16-5 run sparked by six points from Udanoh and one of Coleman's four three-pointers. Wayne State's only loss remains a 16-point setback to Bellarmine (Ky.), now the top-ranked team in Division II.
Jerry Oden, a preseason first team GLIAC South pick, had 12 points and nine rebounds and Dale Brundidge posted five points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Coleman was 4-for-4 from the three-point line and Wayne State shot 6-for-9 from long distance as a team.

Mike Tobin had 12 points and eight rebounds for ESU (5-2), which was playing for the first time since a 70-50 win over Lock Haven on December 8.

Terrance King both scored 10 points and freshman guard
Will Brown scored a career-high nine points on three 3-pointers off the bench. Covert had five assists and senior guard
Mike DeMarco had six points and a career-high seven rebounds.
ESU held a 17-12 advantage in turnovers against a Wayne State team that was among the Division II leaders with 11.8 turnovers per game, but was outrebounded for the first time all season after ranking 11th in the nation in rebounding margin (+10.7 per game). ESU shot 38.1 percent from the field and both teams were under 50 percent at the foul line after an NCAA-mandated seven-day layoff from December 20-26.
The Warriors had a season-high 12 blocked shots, led by a career-high six blocks from junior forward
Eric Bryan (six points, four rebounds) and a season-best four from King, who was eighth in the PSAC in blocks during his PSAC East Freshman of the Year season.
ESU is 18-2 in non-conference games since the start of last season going into Thursday's consolation game vs. Seton Hill.
