THE MATCH-UP:
No. 12 ESU (20-2, 7-2) hosts No. 21 Kutztown (19-3, 6-3) in the first-ever meeting of nationally-ranked teams at Koehler Fieldhouse. The game was originally scheduled for February 6 and opens a three-game week for the Warriors, who lead the PSAC East and will take on the next three teams in the conference standings.

REGIONAL RANKINGS: ESU is ranked No. 2 in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region rankings, while Kutztown is No. 6. The top eight schools in each of the eight regions comprise the 64-team field that will compete for the national championship.

20-WIN SEASONS:
ESU has six 20-win seasons in school history, most recently in 1989-90 and 1991-92, when current head coach Jeff Wilson was an assistant under Sal Mentesana. The school record of 23 wins was set in 1972-73 (23-4).

THE LAST MEETING:
No. 3 Kutztown held off No. 24 ESU, 87-84, on January 13 in the PSAC East opener at Keystone Arena. The Warriors responded with six straight wins before falling to Bloomsburg, 59-57, on Thursday and rebounded with an 83-73 win at Shippensburg on Saturday. Kutztown posted a pair of wins last week after a 2-3 stretch over the previous two weeks.

SCOUTING KUTZTOWN:
Kutztown features two of the PSAC's top three scorers in Stephen Dennis, who leads Division II with 27.5 points per game, and Ryan Washington, who averages a double-double with 19.4 points and 10.1 rebounds. Dennis scored a career-high 42 points in the first meeting and was 15-for-18 at the foul line in the second half.

SCOUTING ESU:
The Warriors counter with one of the most balanced offenses in the country. Senior guard Andy Heimbach (13.6 ppg) and junior forward Mike Tobin (10.3 ppg, 7.1 rpg) are the only two players in double figures and are followed by six other players averaging at least 7.0 points per game. Senior guard Robby Pines (8.3 ppg) is in the top 10 in Division II with 6.5 assists per game and three freshmen forwards, Terrance King (8.9), Duane Johnson (7.5) and Marcus Brown (7.2), have earned eight of the 12 PSAC East Freshman of the Week awards.

Heimbach, ESU's career leader with 217 three-pointers, moved into the top 20 in career scoring (1,073 points) with 15 points, six rebounds and a career-high six assists at Shippensburg. Pines had 11 points, nine assists and four steals and broke into the top 10 with 252 career assists in his only season as a starter.
