MEN'S GAME - ESU 78, Millersville 54

THE MATCH-UP: The Warriors look to earn their fourth trip to the PSAC playoffs in the last five years as they host Millersville tonight at Koehler Fieldhouse. ESU (21-4, 8-4) enters the game in a three-way tie for first in the PSAC East with Cheyney and Mansfield and can put itself in position to play for a home game in the quarterfinals next Tuesday and tie the school record with 23 victories with a pair of wins this week. The top seed in the PSAC East after the quarterfinals will host the PSAC semifinals and finals next Friday and Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT: Jr. F Mike Tobin had 17 points and nine rebounds and Fr. F Terrance King recorded his first career double-double with 11 points and 13 boards as ESU earned a 63-55 (OT) victory vs. Cheyney to sweep the season series for the first time since 1997-98.

The Warriors led 35-26 at halftime and 42-26 early in the second half before the Wolves went on a 13-0 run and tied the game with 3:47 to go. The Warriors outscored Cheyney 14-6 and Tobin and King combined for eight points and five rebounds in overtime. King was named the PSAC East Freshman of the Week for the fifth time this year.

SENIOR NIGHT: Tonight marks the final regular season home game for Andy Heimbach, Robby Pines and Preston Ritter. Heimbach has 1,091 career points, holds ESU's record with 222 3-pointers and has hit 62 this year, 5 from tying the all-time mark. Pines leads the PSAC in assists (6.2) and is 2nd in steals (2.4) and ranks 7th in single season assists (155) at ESU, and Ritter is a three-year letterwinner at forward.


WOMEN'S GAME - No. 23 Millersville 52, ESU 49

THE MATCH-UP: East Stroudsburg University hosts Millersville in tonight's Senior Night game at Koehler Fieldhouse. The Warriors will honor seniors Alexa Detzi, DeAnna Rayam and Mel Villano before tonight's game. The Marauders, ranked No. 23 in Division II, will be the top seed in the PSAC East in next week's conference tournament.

LAST TIME OUT: Fr. G Barb Borst scored a career-high 17 points, including 15 in the second half, but Cheyney held off ESU for a 73-61 win on Saturday afternoon. Borst did nearly all of her damage in a 12-minute stretch midway through the second half and brought ESU within 60-55 with a three-pointer and a layup on consecutive possessions before Cheyney held on. Borst averaged 14.0 points and hit her career-high twice in three games last week.

Rayam added 12 points and averaged 20.7 points last week, including a career-high 32 vs. Kutztown and 18 to go over 1,000 for her career at Mansfield. Villano finished with eight points, five rebounds and tied her career-high with six assists and So. F Jennifer Scherer had seven points and tied her career-high of 10 rebounds.

SENIOR NIGHT:
The Warriors' three seniors all continued their collegiate careers at ESU after playing together at Freedom High School in Bethlehem. Rayam is the 13th 1,000-point scorer in school history, Villano is a four-year starter and went over 200 career assists on Saturday, and Detzi is a two-year starter at center and is 7th in school history with 46 career blocked shots.
