Derek Lopez, both products of Fleetwood High School, scored their first career goals as East Stroudsburg University opened its men's soccer schedule with a 2-0 win over a talented Davis & Elkins squad on Friday afternoon at Concord University.
Geidner, a freshman midfielder, scored the game's first goal in the 29th minute on an assist from freshman defender
Khriswayne Wallace. The 1-0 score held up until just 1:14 remained, when Lopez, a sophomore midfielder, netted the clinching goal on a pass from senior midfielder

Troy Hernandez had his third career shutout in goal, making one first-half save as ESU held a 9-4 advantage in shots over the Senators, who were 13-6-1 a year ago and played in the WVIAC championship game.
Eight of the 18 players who got on the field for ESU saw their first career action, including three starters in Lopez, Wallace and senior midfielder
Shastri Spencer.
The Warriors will play host Concord on Saturday as they look for a pair of wins in the first two days of the season.
