Millersville Posts 5-1 Win over ESU Men’s Soccer

MILLERSVILLE – Matt Kadoch had two goals and an assist to lead Millersville to a 5-1 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC men's soccer on Saturday at Biemsderfer Stadium.

Kadoch scored in the third and 19th minutes and assisted on Zack Caracciolo's goal in the 51st minute for Millersville (9-6, 6-2), the defending PSAC and Atlantic Region champions.

Senior midfielder Nick Fischer scored his eighth goal of the year for ESU (3-10-2, 0-6-2) in the 42nd minute, bringing the Warriors with 2-1 with 3:32 to go until halftime, but Millersville scored in the 51st, 74th and 86th minutes in the second half.

Freshman Callum Hampson had seven saves for ESU as Millersville held advantages of 21-9 in shots and 14-1 in corner kicks. Brad Benzing had three saves for the Marauders.

Millersville won for the eighth time in the last 10 meetings after ESU was 41-6-3 in the first 50 games between the two schools. They have met 60 times since 1960.

The Warriors finish the 2012 season with two games next week, traveling to Molloy for a non-conference game on Tuesday at 7 p.m. and hosting Bloomsburg on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
