LOCK HAVEN – Jacob Oldaker scored two goals and assisted on the third to lead Lock Haven to a 3-0 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC men's soccer on Wednesday afternoon.
Oldaker scored in the 37th minute of the first half, assisted on a long free kick by goalkeeper Chris Frederick, and had the game's third goal in the 57th minute. He assisted on the second goal when Ben Weaver scored just 26 seconds earlier.
Lock Haven (5-4-1, 2-2) had a 13-9 edge in shots and Frederick didn't make a save in recording the shutout. Freshman
Callum Hampson had three saves for ESU (3-7, 0-3).
ESU (19) and Lock Haven (20) have combined for 39 of the 48 conference titles awarded since 1951. ESU holds a 41-29-6 advantage and has won 11 of the 16 meetings for the PSAC crown, including nine of 13 under recently retired head coach
Jerry Sheska.
The Warriors play the second of six straight PSAC games on Saturday night, hosting Slippery Rock in the final event of Homecoming at 8:30 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
