PHILADELPHIA – Nicolas Delgado scored the game's only goal five minutes into the second half as East Stroudsburg University fell at Holy Family in its men's soccer season opener on Thursday afternoon.

The Warriors held a 15-4 advantage in shots and 11-5 edge in corner kicks but were unable to get past Kelly Diaz, who made four saves for Holy Family. Junior goalkeeper Ryan Nosti made two saves in his third career start in goal for ESU.

There were five yellow cards handed out in the game, four to Holy Family, which beat ESU for the first time after falling in the first five meetings in the series.

The Warriors are back on the road on Tuesday, Sept. 4 when they head to Queens (N.Y.) for a 4 p.m. start.
