EAST STROUDSBURG - James Pucci scored on a 25-yard free kick with less than a minute left in the first overtime as East Stroudsburg University dropped its men's soccer home opener to Davis & Elkins, 2-1, on Saturday at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
Pucci assisted on the game-tying goal by Bastein Catrin in the 81st minute and added the game-winner to drop the Warriors to 0-3. ESU held an advantage in shots for the third straight game, 13-6 for the game and 43-14 for the season, but has been outscored 5-2.
