1 • ESU (3-1) returns home to host Clarion (3-1) in a PSAC crossover game after a month away from Eiler-Martin Stadium. ESU is 7-4 in night games at Eiler-Martin, including a 21-14 win over American International in the season opener on Sept. 5.

2 • R-So. QB Matt Soltes made his 1st career start in last year's 31-27 loss at Clarion, gaining 318 total yards (256 passing, 62 rushing). In 14 career games (11 starts), Soltes is averaging 316.2 yards of total offense, 4th in DII and 10th in all divisions.

3 • Soltes gained 419 total yards (387 passing, 32 rushing) last week at Cheyney, the 3rd-most in his career. In 11 career starts, he has gained 350+ yards 7 times, and 300+ yards 8 times. He moved into 8th on ESU's career total offense list last week.

4 • The Warriors face a Clarion defense that had 9 sacks in last year's game, for a loss of 48 yards, as Soltes gained 110 rushing yards for a net of 62. Clarion is 3rd in the PSAC with 3.25 sacks per game this season.

5 • R-Jr. TE Steven Jones had 4 catches for 144 yards and 3 TD (80, 53 and 3 yards) last week at Cheyney. He was the 1st ESU TE with 3 TD in a game in Douds' 40 seasons. In his last 7 games, Jones has 21 catches, 396 yards and 10 TD. He ranks 3rd in the PSAC overall, and tied for 2nd among DII TE's, with 5 TD catches this year.

6 • ESU ran for 812 yards in its first 3 games (270.7 ypg), its most in 40 seasons under Douds. The Warriors had 108 rushing yards last week at Cheyney, but threw for 430. R-Fr. TB Robert Healy is the #2 freshman rusher in DII with 106.8 ypg, and Soltes leads PSAC QB's with 55.0 ypg.

7 • ESU leads the PSAC and is tied for 2nd in DII in turnover margin (+2.3 - 11:2), and held a 3-1 advantage at Cheyney last week. Clarion is 2nd in the PSAC and tied for 18th in DII (+1.3 - 9:4), and had a 2-0 deficit last week vs. Gannon.

8 • The Warriors are 2nd in the PSAC and 10th in DII in time of possession (34:01). ESU's 30:22 mark last year was its best since 2002, and just the 2nd time over 30:00 since that year. The Warriors held the ball for only 26:35 at Cheyney but still ran 9 more plays (69-60) than the Wolves.

9 • ESU leads the PSAC and ranks 7th in DII in pass completion defense (46.8), and is 3rd in the PSAC and 20th in DII in pass efficiency defense (105.0). Last year, opponents hit on 63.0 percent and had a pass efficiency rating of 163.4.

10 • The Warriors are getting off the field on 3rd down at an exceptional rate - 25.0 percent (13-for-52), ranking 1st in the PSAC and 10th in DII. Included is a 5-for-37 clip on 3rd-and-long (5+).
