EAST STROUDSBURG – Senior forward Zechariah Runkle set a career-high with 15 points,  redshirt junior guard Will Brown also scored 15, and junior guard Matt Tobin added 13 points, seven assists and four steals as East Stroudsburg University improved to 3-0 with an 83-62 win over USciences in non-conference men's basketball on Thursday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Freshman forward Rasheed Moore had 10 points and six rebounds to give the Warriors four double-figure scorers, as they extended their home non-conference winning streak to 35 games going back to November 2007.

Brown and Moore have both hit double-figures in all three games this year, as ESU opened with a 90-65 win at St. Thomas Aquinas last Saturday and topped PSU-Lehigh Valley, 106-58, on Tuesday night.

ESU has shot at least 50.0 percent in all three games, hitting that mark on the nose against USciences at 30-for-60. The Warriors made nine three-pointers, with Brown and Runkle both drilling 3-of-5, and had a +7 margin in turnovers (22-15).

Garret Kerr, a 2013 All-America selection along with ESU junior guard Whis Grant, had 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists and five steals to lead USciences (1-1). Kerr led DII with 12.4 rebounds per game last year and had 18 double-doubles, but the Warriors held a 33-30 advantage on the glass led by Moore with six.

Sho DaSilva added 22 points and seven rebounds for the Devils, who won 68-53 in last year's meeting in Philadelphia. ESU improved to 8-3 in the last 11 meetings and scored 80 points in regulation for just the second time.

ESU led from tip to finish, jumping out to a 13-4 lead in the first four minutes and extending it to double figures for the first time with five minutes left in the first half.

The Warriors closed the half with a 17-8 run over the final eight minutes to take a 43-30 lead into the locker room.

Brown's 15 points were his most since the final game of his freshman season in 2010-11, when he scored led the Warriors with 16 points in a PSAC semifinal loss at IUP. He has scored 10, 13 and 15 points for an average of 12.7 per game in his first three games this year after missing the last two due to injury.

Runkle didn't attempt a shot in the win at St. Thomas Aquinas and sat out Tuesday's win over PSU-Lehigh Valley. He made his first shot of the season, a three that gave the Warriors a 22-16 lead with 9:30 left in the first half, and established a career-high with 15 points – surpassing his previous best of 11 in a road win at West Chester last February.

Moore leads the Warriors in both scoring (13.0 ppg) and rebounding (5.7 rpg) through the first three games of his career. He has put together lines of 12 points, six rebounds and three blocks at St. Thomas Aquinas, 17 points and five rebounds vs. PSU-Lehigh Valley and 10 points and six rebounds vs. USciences.

Tobin was in double figures for the first time this year and followed up his eight assists vs. PSU-Lehigh Valley with seven against USciences.

Grant scored nine points and junior forward Lamont Tillery posted five points and five rebounds in a strong effort.

ESU completes its non-PSAC schedule on Saturday at UDC at 3 p.m. The PSAC East schedule opens next Wednesday (November 20) against Mansfield at 7:30 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse.
