st & 10 ...  Complete Game Notes (PDF)

• ESU (6-3, 3-3) hosts Millersville (1-8, 1-5) to finish its PSAC East schedule. The Warriors secured a winning season with a 52-28 win vs. Lock Haven last week. ESU has an opportunity for its 7th season with 8+ wins in the last 12 years, hosting Millersville and Mercyhurst the last 2 weeks.

• The Warriors gained 696 yards last week vs. Lock Haven - including 658 through 3 quarters, and 531 yards spanning the 2nd and 3rd quarters. ESU has gained 600+ yards in its last 3 home games - 692 vs. Clarion (W 48-28), 620 vs. Bloomsburg (L 52-38) and 696 last Saturday.

• ESU is on a school-record pace for total offense, ranking 6th in DII with 534.1 yards per game this fall. The record of 509.1 ypg was set in 1996. The Warriors were 4th in DII with 497.9 ypg last year.

• Head coach Denny Douds is 3rd on the DII all-time wins list with 243 career victories after wins the last 2 weeks. Douds holds the PSAC record for wins and is 23rd in college football history.

• Last week's win was punctuated by a school record-tying 99-yard TD pass from R-So. QB Matt Soltes to R-Sr. WR Robert Bleiler. It matched a 99-yard pass from Bret Comp to Ken Kopetchny in 1990 at Mansfield. ESU has 2 of the 4 99-yard passes in PSAC history.

• Sr. K Taylor Groff set ESU's career record for kicking points last week with 295, surpassing Mark Brubaker (287, 2002-05). He has 49 field goals, one from the mark of 50 held by Ed Detwiler (1989-92).

• Soltes had 536 total yards (462 passing, 74 rushing) vs. Lock Haven, his 2nd 500+ yard game this year and the 3rd of his career. He is the region's only QB, and one of 3 in DII, to rank in the top 10 in the nation in total offense, passing yards per game and pass efficiency.

• Soltes has 6,407 yards of total offense in his career, 2nd-most in PSAC history through a QB's sophomore year behind ESU's Jimmy Terwilliger (7,634). He can become the 5th DII sophomore with 7,000 career yards in the next 2 weeks.

• R-Fr. TB Robert Healy is 2nd on ESU's freshman rushing list with 905 yards, trailing only Stewart Ford's 1,109 yards in 1997. Healy can become the school's 6th 1,000-yard back. He is 255 yards from the record of 1,160 (Andre Castiglioni, 2001).

• Bleiler had 7 catches for 230 yards and 2 TD last week, vaulting him into ESU's season top 10 and career top 5 in receiving yards. Bleiler is 3rd in the PSAC in receptions (6.6) and yards (114.9) per game. He is on pace for the 3rd-highest single-season receiving yardage in school history.
