Eric Linares had a diving catch with the bases loaded and two outs in the eighth to preserve the lead, as East Stroudsburg University topped Felician, 7-5, in a non-conference baseball game on Thursday afternoon.
Junior
Keith Moyer pitched a scoreless ninth for the save as three ESU pitchers combined on a three-hitter - and didn't allow a hit over the final six innings of the nine-inning affair. Kelly struck out six and walked two after coming into a first-and-third, one-out situation in the third.
ESU (4-3), playing for the first time since splitting a pair with UMass-Lowell on March 2, had eight hits led by two each from senior OF
Eric Boyer (2-for-4, walk, RBI, two runs) and junior DH
Eric Forth (2-for-4, RBI, run). Redshirt freshman 3B
Drew Hercik was 1-for-4 with a walk and two runs in the leadoff spot.
The Warriors scored in both of the first two innings but trailed 4-3 before battling back. They scored two in the first, when Boyer tripled to score senior 2B
Joe Bennie, who reached on an error, and scored on an RBI groundout by junior 1B

Senior catcher
Nico Delerme led off the second with a triple and scored on a single by Forth, but Felician scored three in the second to go ahead 4-3.
The Warriors tied it in the fourth when Forth singled and scored on a two-out single by Linares.
They went in front in the fifth as Hercik led off with a double, Boyer drew a one-out walk and Tenaglia was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Junior OF
Chris Knott lifted an RBI sacrifice fly, and Delerme reached on a two-out error which scored Boyer to make it 6-4.
Felician got a run back in the bottom of the fifth, using two ESU errors to pull within 6-5
ESU pushed its lead to 7-5 in the eighth. Hercik walked with two outs, stole second, then stole third and scored on a throwing error.
In the eighth, they loaded the bases on a walk and two hit batters, but Linares snared a line drive to keep the Warriors in front.
Moyer got his second save of the season, pitching around a two-out walk to end it.
Junior
Keenan Stare started and got four of his seven outs by strikeout, but walked six and gave up four runs on three hits.
Felician (7-13) sent five pitchers to the mound. Sophomore Matthew Facenda started and gave up six runs (three earned) on six hits, struck out seven and walked one, falling to 3-1 on the season.
ESU is back on the field on Friday with a doubleheader at Dowling (N.Y.) at 12 p.m.
