LAFAYETTE HILL - Sophomore goalkeeper
Callum Hampson had a career-high 10 saves as East Stroudsburg University and Chestnut Hill played to a scoreless tie in non-conference men's soccer on Monday night.
ESU (0-6-2) held a 28-24 advantage in shots, but Hampson and Chestnut Hill (4-3-2) goalkeeper Travis Powers (five saves) both posted shutouts.
Hampson made three saves in the first overtime, while Powers had one in both overtimes.
The scoreless tie is ESU's first since drawing with Slippery Rock on Oct. 6 last year at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
Hampson's previous career-high was nine saves in a 1-1 tie against California last fall. He had his first shutout of the season and the third solo shutout of his career.
ESU hosts Felician in a non-conference game on Wednesday at 7 p.m., the second game of a women's/men's doubleheader at Eiler-Martin Stadium. The Warriors' women's team will look for a 6-2 start as they host Clarion at 4 p.m.
ESU's next conference action will come on Tuesday, Oct. 8 when they host Millersville at 5 p.m
