ELKINS, W.V. - Sophomore forward Jonathan Stuppe scored the game-tying goal with less than five minutes remaining, helping East Stroudsburg University salvage a 2-2 tie at Davis & Elkins in non-conference men's soccer on Sunday afternoon.

Stuppe scored on an assist from freshman midfielder Ben Roda in the 86th minute for the Warriors (0-1-1), who were outshot 25-5 but pushed two goals past Senators keeper Daniel Nock.

Senior midfielder Derek Lopez opened the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 21st minute before D&E scored twice in the second half.

James Pucci scored in the 60th minute and Declan McGill tallied on an assist from Pucci in the 77th minute.

Sophomore goalkeeper J.B. Pahls saw his first career action for ESU, making seven saves while playing all 110 minutes.

 Along with its edge in shots (20-3 in regulation), Davis & Elkins had an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks. The Senators were picked as the preseason favorites in their first season in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

ESU hosts Philadelphia University in non-conference action on Tuesday at 7 p.m. before opening its 11-game PSAC schedule against Gannon on Friday and Mercyhurst on Saturday.
