Lamont Tillery scored a career-high 19 points and senior guard
Matt Tobin had 13 points and eight assists, leading East Stroudsburg University to an 85-56 win at Clarion in PSAC men's basketball on Wednesday night at Tippin Gym.
Tillery scored 15 of his 19 points in the second half for ESU (6-3, 5-1), which responded after an 83-79 (2OT) loss at Gannon on Tuesday night.
The Warriors opened the game on a 17-3 run, sparked by seven points from Tobin in the first minute, and finished with a 26-6 run after Clarion (4-4, 2-3) closed ESU's 18-point halftime lead (47-29) to 59-50 with exactly 11:00 remaining.
Tillery scored 10 points in a six-minute stretch, including consecutive three-pointers, and shot 7-for-9 overall and 3-for-3 from the three-point line. He also grabbed eight rebounds. His previous career-high in scoring was 14 points.

Whis Grant scored nine points and sophomore forward
Sultan Aminu had nine points, including seven down the stretch, six rebounds and four blocks.

Muhamadou Kaba had a season-high eight points, redshirt senior guard
Will Brown scored seven and junior guard
Jamal Nwaniemeka had six points, eight rebounds and four assists.
ESU had a 59-38 rebounding advantage led by Nwaniemeka (8), Tillery (8), sophomore forward
Steve Harris (7) and Aminu (6).
Tobin's eight assists were a season-high as the Warriors had 23 assists on 33 field goals.
Clarion shot 33.8 percent (22-for-65) overall, including 30.0 percent (12-for-40) in the first half as ESU built a double-digit lead in the first four minutes.
Aaron Johnson had 12 points and nine rebounds and BJ Andrews added 10 points to lead Clarion.
The Warriors host Pitt-Johnstown (6-4, 3-3) on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse. UPJ is coming off a 103-79 win over Bloomsburg on Wednesday.
ESU enters the weekend tied with Kutztown (8-3, 5-1) for the PSAC East lead in the 22-game conference schedule.
