Jonathan Stuppe both scored their first goals of the season, and East Stroudsburg University earned its first win over PSAC men's soccer rival Lock Haven since 2010 with a 2-1 victory at Hubert Jack Stadium on Saturday.
Ruiz scored on a throw-in that was misplayed by Lock Haven goalkeeper Jonathan Howitt 3:49 into the second half, and Stuppe scored on an assist from sophomore forward
Andrew McGinley exactly 10:00 into the half for the Warriors (2-5-1, 1-3), who gained their first PSAC win this fall.
Jesse Smith scored in the 76th minute for Lock Haven (4-2-1, 3-1), which took its first conference loss of the year.

J.B. Pahls had three saves for ESU. Howitt had one save in 69:27 for LHU and Thomas McLain had one save in the final 20:33.
Lock Haven had advantages of 10-7 in shots and 6-3 in corner kicks.
ESU (19) and Lock Haven (20) have combined for 39 of the 50 PSAC men's soccer championships in conference history, including 31 of 32 from 1976 through 2007 - ESU's most recent championship season.
The Warriors hold a 42-30-6 margin in the all-time series, including 11-5 in PSAC championship games.
ESU travels to West Chester (5-3, 3-1) on Tuesday and hosts Chestnut Hill in a non-conference game on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
