Warriors Rebound with 92-75 Win over Seton Hill

EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore forward Steve Harris scored 13 of his career-high 17 points in the first half and East Stroudsburg University put five players in double figures, posting a 92-75 win over Seton Hill in PSAC men's basketball on Sunday afternoon at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Junior guard Jamal Nwaniemeka also scored 17 points, senior forward Lamont Tillery had 16, redshirt senior guard Muhamadou Kaba scored 12 and sophomore forward Rasheed Moore added 10 for ESU (8-4, 7-2), which maintained a share of the PSAC East lead and bounced back from a 78-63 loss to IUP on Saturday.

Harris was perfect from the field (7-for-7) and 3-for-3 at the foul line in surpassing his previous career-best of 14 points against Pitt-Johnstown on December 20.

David Windsor scored 30 points, Kameron Taylor had 15 and Noah Davis added 14 for Seton Hill (3-9, 2-6), which was coming off a win at Bloomsburg on Saturday. Windsor was 13-for-16 from the field, including 4-for-5 from the three-point line, and scored 20 of his 30 points in the second half.

ESU broke the game open with a 27-10 run spanning halftime, turning a 29-26 lead with five minutes left in the first half into a 56-36 advantage just over three minutes into the second half.

The Warriors had a +14 advantage in turnovers (20-6) and committed just one turnover in the second half, while recording 14 steals at the defensive end.

ESU improves to 41-3 when holding a +5 turnover advantage since the start of the 2012-13 season.

ESU had 23 assists with senior guards Whis Grant and Matt Tobin both notching six points and seven assists.

The Warriors scored 36 points off the bench led by Tillery (16), Kaba (12) and redshirt freshman guard Steven Stoney (6).

Seton Hill shot 60.0 percent (33-for-55) from the field and 6-for-11 from the three-point line, but ESU took 24 more shots. The Warriors shot 45.6 percent (36-for-79), made seven three-pointers and were 13-for-13 at the foul line.

The Warriors travel to California (Pa.) for their final match-up against the PSAC West on Wednesday. The Vulcans (10-4, 6-3) have won three straight against the PSAC East and are coming off a weekend sweep at Lock Haven (78-56) and Bloomsburg (75-68).

* ESU improves to 40-7 in games that count in the PSAC standings since the start of the 2012-13 season.
* ESU has held at least a share of the PSAC East lead every day since December 1, 2012.
