ESU (8-5, 7-3) trailed 35-24 at halftime but responded with a 16-5 run early in the second half to go ahead 49-47 on a three-pointer by junior guard

The Vulcans came back with an 8-0 stretch and maintained at least a two possession lead the rest of the way.
Richard Smith had 10 points and 10 rebounds, Jake Jacubec scored 11points and Khalil Jabbie had 10 points for California.

California held a 45-26 advantage in rebounds and pulled down 15 on the offensive end. ESU held a 20-15 advantage in turnovers - falling to 41-4 since the start of the 2012-13 season when maintaining a +5 advantage.
ESU hosts Penn State-Lehigh Valley on Saturday at 3 p.m. before returning to PSAC East play on Wednesday, January 14 at Cheyney.
