Matt Festa threw 4.0 shutout innings on the mound, leading East Stroudsburg University to a 4-1 win over Pitt-Johnstown in non-conference baseball on Sunday in North Carolina.
ESU (4-0), coming off a season-opening three-game sweep against Felician February 13-14, scored two runs in the fourth inning and three pitchers held UPJ to just three hits.

Tyler Eckman came on to pitch the seventh for his second save of the season.
Allen singled and scored in second and fourth innings and also walked in the fifth.
In the second, Allen had a leadoff walk, stole second, moved to third on a wild pitch and later scored on an RBI single by freshman catcher Steve Zimmerman, Jr.

Dylan Tamecki led off the fourth with a walk, advanced on two wild pitches and scored on an Allen RBI single. Allen scored on a wild pitch later in the frame after a single by redshirt sophomore 3B

Drew Hercik belted a one-out RBI double to score Zimmerman and push the lead to 4-1. Hercik was 2-for-4 to join Allen with a multi-hit game.
