EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University has 14 student-athletes named to the NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad for the 2014 season, it was announced Monday.
The Warriors' selections are led by two student-athletes who were named "Scholars of Distinction" in sophomore
Danielle Ard and freshman
Sydney McCarthy. The Award, given for the third year, recognized 40 players who had compiled at least a 3.90 cumulative grade-point average through the fall semester.
ESU was one of 20 programs (of 29 in Division II) to receive the Team Academic Award for attaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
Seniors
Becky Gagliardi and
Gabrielle Seibert earned a spot on the National Academic Squad for the fourth straight year. Other recipients are
