Jay Young hit a bases-clearing double to spark a five-run fourth inning, leading East Stroudsburg University to a 6-1 (5 inn.) win at Philadelphia University in non-conference baseball on Wednesday.
Young was 2-for-3 with three RBI, redshirt sophomore OF
Casey Saverio was 2-for-3 with two runs and junior 1B
Dylan Tamecki was 3-for-3 with an RBI for ESU (20-9).

Marty Martens gained the win in relief, throwing 2.0 innings (four strikeouts, two walks) without allowing a hit. Junior
Cody Klinger (3.0 IP, 1 run, 3 hits) was the starter.
ESU took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on a two-out RBI single by Tamecki, before Philadelphia U tied it at 1-1 in the bottom half on a sacrifice fly.
The only other scoring came in the fourth. Junior DH

Nick Rabasco was hit by a pitch to load the bases for Young, who drove a three-run double to left-center.
Young later scored on a wild pitch, and Saverio (single) scored on a groundout by sophomore OF
Ian Allen.
The game was called due to inclement weather in the sixth inning.
ESU, 8-8 in PSAC East action, hosts Mansfield (2-16, 1-9) in a four-game series this weekend. Both doubleheaders (Saturday and Sunday) will be played at 1 p.m. at Mitterling Field.
