ESU scored three runs in the first inning on Tamecki's homer, one in the second and two more in the third on a two-RBI double by freshman 2B
Aden Tully for a 6-0 lead after three innings.
GAME 1 - L 7-0Mansfield (3-16, 2-10) scored two runs in the first inning, then five more in the third, to secure its second divisional win of the season.
ESU committed four errors, its most since a five-error game in a 9-7 win at Chowan on February 23, 2014.
Alexander faced the minimum through four innings, allowing only a walk in the third that was erased on a double play.
Rishel's two-out single in the fifth was the Warriors' only hit. They left the bases loaded in the fifth in their best scoring opportunity.
GAME 2 - W 9-2Holup stranded two runners in the top of the first inning, then the Warriors put their first two batters on base on a single by redshirt sophomore 3B
Jay Young and a hit by pitch by redshirt sophomore OF
Casey Saverio before Tamecki's home run, his fourth of the season.
Saverio drew a two-out walk, stole second and scored on an RBI single by sophomore OF
Ian Allen in the second.
Tully's two-out, two-run double scored redshirt junior 1B
Matt Walewski (single) and redshirt junior SS
Drew Hercik (HBP) in the third.
ESU added three more runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Allen, a sacrifice fly by Tamecki and a squeeze bunt by freshman catcher
Steven Zimmerman, Jr. The Warriors had four hits in the inning with consecutive singles by Young, Saverio and Allen to star the frame.
Mansfield scored its only run off Holup in the fourth after the leadoff hitter reached on an error and later scored on a sacrifice fly. MU added its final run in the seventh.
Nine of ESU's 10 hits came from the first five spots in the order. Young, Allen and Hercik had two hits each, Saverio was 1-for-2 and scored three runs, and Tamecki had four RBI.
