Ian Allen hit a grand slam for his sixth home run of the season, but Wilmington had enough offense for a 13-8 win over East Stroudsburg University in a single nine-inning non-conference baseball game on Thursday at Mitterling Field.
Allen's homer got ESU within 8-6 in the sixth inning, but Wilmington had a five-run eighth inning to protect its lead.
Wilmington (25-8), coming off a 9-5 loss to West Chester in the Bill Giles Classic championship game at Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday, got a strong start from Frank Samluk, who allowed two runs in 5.0 innings to improve to 5-0.
The Warriors (24-12) were coming off a non-conference sweep of Le Moyne on Wednesday, giving them 24+ wins for the seventh straight season under eighth-year head coach

ESU, 10-10 in PSAC East play, faces West Chester (18-8, 13-5) in a four-game series this weekend beginning on Saturday at West Chester.
ESU's half of the series has been postponed to Sunday at 1 p.m. at Mitterling Field.
The Warriors enter the weekend fourth in the PSAC East with eight games remaining. West Chester trails Millersville (15-5) in the win column for the top spot. The Golden Rams still have two games to make up vs. Mansfield.
