Jonathan Stuppe scored first-half goals as East Stroudsburg University blanked Shepherd, 3-0, in its 2015 men's soccer season opener on Thursday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
Choffy scored in the eighth minute, assisted by sophomore forward
Christian Bukowski, and Stuppe doubled the lead in the 19th minute. Junior back
Jeff Wolf hit a free kick that was headed by sophomore back
Keelby Espinola, with Stuppe finishing the play.

James McMahon added ESU's third goal in the 72nd minute on an assist from freshman midfielder
Alex Kardos.
ESU held Shepherd to six shots and just one shot on goal. Freshman goalkeeper William Boerema made one save in his ESU debut.
Stuppe's goal was the ninth of his career, leading all active Warriors. Choffy had his third career goal, and McMahon's goal was his first for ESU.
Daniel Hussion had four saves for Shepherd (0-1).
ESU travels to Shippensburg on Saturday for its PSAC opener.
