SHIPPENSBURG - Senior forward
Casey Choffy scored both goals, including the game-winner 4:09 into the first overtime, to give East Stroudsburg University a 2-1 (OT) win at Shippensburg in PSAC men's soccer on Saturday afternoon.
Choffy scored the game-tying goal 9:19 into the second half, then the winning goal to give ESU (2-0, 1-0) a victory in its PSAC opener. He scored the Warriors' first goal in a 3-0 win vs. Shepherd on Thursday.
Sophomore forward
Christian Bukowski assisted on both goals and also had an assist in ESU's victory in the season opener.
James Connor gave Ship a 1-0 lead in the 50th minute before Choffy tied it five minutes later.
Senior goalkeeper
J.B. Pahls had six saves for ESU, which was outshot 21-12 in the contest. Matt Harder had four saves for Shippensburg.
Choffy has more than doubled his career goal total with three in the first two games. He had his first two career goals last season. Bukowski had one goal and five assists as a freshman, and has three assists this fall.
ESU will host St. Thomas Aquinas in a non-conference game on Tuesday at 2 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for St. Thomas Aquinas' campus but has been moved to Eiler-Martin Stadium.
