Jamal Nwaniemeka became the 29th 1,000-point scorer in East Stroudsburg University history as the Warriors won their ninth straight game with a 94-51 victory over Millersville in PSAC East men's basketball on Wednesday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.
Nwaniemeka hit a pair of three-pointers early in the first half, giving him six of his eight points in the contest, to hit the 1,000-point mark for his collegiate career. Nwaniemeka finished the night with 1,003 collegiate points – 992 in three years at ESU and 11 as a freshman at Rider in 2012-13.
The 2014 PSAC Tournament MVP with a career-high 27 points in a 92-80 win vs. West Chester, Nwaniemeka is the second ESU player to score 1,000 career points this year, joining junior forward
Rasheed Moore (1,040).
Redshirt senior guard
Will Brown scored a team-high 12 points for the Warriors on Wednesday night, giving him 983 in his career.
ESU (15-3, 11-3), the PSAC's top scoring team with 90.4 points per game (10th in DII), got off to a slow start and trailed 12-10 with just over 12 minutes left in the first half. From there, the Warriors closed the half on a 35-8 run – including the final 10 points of the half – to lead 45-20 at intermission.
The Warriors have won seven straight games by double figures and an average margin of 27.3 points per game, all against PSAC competition. Six of ESU's nine straight wins have been by at least 25 points.
Shawn Williams had 16 points and eight turnovers for Millersville (2-16, 2-12).

Ryan Krawczeniuk had five assists each. Walls entered the night as the PSAC leader, 14th in DII and second among DII freshmen with 6.0 assists per game. He has 101 assists in 17 games played, and is seven assists from ESU's freshman record (108) set by Naveen Mohiuddin in 2002-03.
ESU shot 53.7 percent (36-for-67) overall and 10-for-23 from the three-point line, while limiting Millersville to 30.4 percent (14-for-46), 5-for-25 from three, and forcing 24 turnovers. The Warriors led the PSAC in both field goal percentage offense (49.5) and defense (39.8) entering the week.
