Rasheed Moore hit the 1,000-point mark for his career and East Stroudsburg University posted its largest-ever margin of victory vs. a nationally-ranked team, winning 87-60 at No. 22-ranked West Chester in PSAC East men's basketball on Saturday at Hollinger Fieldhouse.
ESU (11-3, 7-3), which won its fifth straight game overall and fourth straight vs. PSAC competition, held West Chester (12-2, 8-2) to 25.4 percent shooting overall and led 45-24 at halftime.
West Chester was 0-for-19 from the field with 11 turnovers before hitting its first field goal, a jumper by Malik Jackson, more than 14 minutes into the game. WCU was 5-for-28 with 15 turnovers in the first half and shot 16-for-63 from the field with 27 turnovers on the afternoon.
Moore had 10 points and seven rebounds, finishing the day with 1,002 points and becoming the 28th 1,000-point scorer in school history. Moore is the fourth ESU player to hit the 1,000-point mark as a junior.
The only player in program history named All-PSAC East as a freshman and sophomore, Moore scored 435 points as a freshman (2nd-most by an ESU freshman) on the 30-2 PSAC championship team in 2013-14 and had 366 points last season. He is averaging a team- and career-high 14.4 points through 14 games this year and 13.4 points per game in 75 games in his career.

ESU shot 46.3 percent (31-for-67) and had advantages of 27-21 in turnovers and 17-8 in steals.
The Warriors led 19-5 just over 10 minutes into the game and 30-9 before WCU's first field goal. They pushed their margin to as many as 35 points (74-39) with a 10-0 run midway through the second half.
ESU led by double figures for the final 33 minutes of the contest, and by at least 19 over the final 24 minutes.
Freshman Matt Penecale scored 16 points (3-for-9 fg, 9-for-12 ft) for West Chester, but committed six turnovers without an assist after leading the PSAC in assists (6.4 per game) entering the weekend. Matt Wiseley had 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Jackson scored 12 points for WCU. Penecale, Wiseley and Jackson all had six turnovers.
ESU won its sixth straight vs. West Chester, its best stretch since winning six straight from 1970 through 1973. The Warriors won seven straight from 1940 through 1945.
The Warriors have won 13 of 15 vs. West Chester since 2010, including a 90-85 win at WCU in the 2012 PSAC championship game and a 92-80 win at Koehler Fieldhouse in the 2014 PSAC championship game.
The Warriors have won five straight at West Chester and 10 of the last 13 at Hollinger since the 2006-07 season.
ESU's 27-point margin of victory is its largest against the Golden Rams since a 31-point win (89-58) in 1973. The Warriors won by 26 (98-72) at Koehler Fieldhouse on January 17 last season.
ESU posted its 10th victory over a nationally-ranked team in program history. The previous largest margin of victory vs. a ranked team was 13 (57-44) at No. 8-ranked Bloomsburg in 1981.
