EAST STROUDSBURG - Redshirt senior tailback Robert Healy ran for 108 yards and three touchdowns, had a 57-yard reception and threw a six-yard touchdown pass, leading East Stroudsburg University to a 54-12 win over Cheyney in PSAC East football on Saturday night at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

ESU had three players - Healy, redshirt senior quarterback Bruce Campbell and redshirt junior quarterback Tim DiGiorgio - throw a touchdown pass in the same game for the second time in school history, with Healy's six-yard toss to redshirt junior wide receiver Tommy House giving the Warriors (3-2, 1-1) a 26-0 lead early in the second quarter.

Healy had his 14th career 100-yard rushing game, tying the school record held by Andre Castiglioni (1999-01). He extended his ESU career records for rushing yards (3,566) and yards from scrimmage (5,363) and threw his first career TD pass.

Healy entered the week ranked second in NCAA Division II in yards from scrimmage (211.5 ypg) and fifth in rushing yards (157.0 ypg) and compiled 165 yards from scrimmage on 21 plays, 20 rushing and one receiving.

Redshirt senior tight end Anthony Castillo had two catches for 51 yards and two touchdowns, the first two of his career, catching scoring passes of 20 yards from Campbell in the second quarter and 31 yards from DiGiorgio in the fourth quarter.

Campbell made his fifth straight start, going 2-for-6 for 77 yards and a touchdown, and had four carries for 54 yards.

DiGiorgio made his first career appearance for the Warriors after transferring from Temple. He was 6-for-10 for 101 yards with ESU alternating quarterbacks for most of the evening.

ESU gained 413 total yards, 229 rushing and 184 passing. Sophomore tailback James Bell had a career-high 67 yards (10 carries) and a touchdown to complement Healy's fourth 100-yard day in five games this season.

Freshmen wide receivers Mike Manzo-Lewis (2 catches, 29 yards), Elijah Rehm (1 catch, 28 yards) and Adam Warehime (1 catch, 6 yards) all had their first career receptions. Rehm also had two kickoff returns for 73 yards, a 44-yarder to open the game and a 29-yarder that advanced the ball past midfield in the fourth quarter.

Redshirt junior linebacker Mike Wiand had an interception for the second straight week, picking off a pass by Dominick Trautz deep in Cheyney territory to set up a two-yard TD run by Healy for a 10-0 lead just 5:05 into the game, following a 33-yard field goal by sophomore kicker Nicolas Ruiz to open the scoring.

Bell scored on an eight-yard run to cap an 80-yard drive late in the first quarter, followed by an ESU safety as junior linebacker Larry Mills tackled the Cheyney kick returner in the end zone after he initially attempted to bring the ball into the field of play.

Healy's six-yard TD pass to House gave the Warriors a 26-0 advantage at the 13:47 mark of the second quarter, and Campbell's 20-yard TD pass to Castillo made it 33-0 at the 5:39 mark.

Healy had a two-yard TD run on ESU's first possession of the third quarter. Cheyney scored two straight TD's - a 14-yard run by Erik Heller following a 66-yard scamper by Devin Miller - and a 22-yard TD pass from Trautz to Berlin for a 40-12 score early in the fourth quarter.

Healy punched in a three-yard TD and DiGiorgio threw a 31-yard TD pass to Castillo for the final margin.

ESU extended its NCAA all-division record for consecutive wins in an uninterrupted series to 37. The Warriors hold a 60-1 advantage in the all-time series, with Cheyney's only win (7-3) in 1979 when the Wolves advanced to the State Game.

Cheyney (1-4, 0-2), which ended a 43-game slide with a 21-20 (OT) win at Lincoln in its season opener, gained 239 of its 348 yards in the second half. The Wolves ran for 250 yards on 47 carries, led by Heller (14 rush, 92 yards, TD) and Miller (7 rush, 79 yards). Trautz was 6-for-13 for 90 yards and a TD passing, with Berlin catching three passes for 72 yards and a TD.

ESU travels to Millersville for a 4 p.m. kickoff next week.
