EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior midfielder Christian Bukowski scored a pair of first-half goals, leading East Stroudsburg University to a 3-1 win over Seton Hill in PSAC men's soccer on Saturday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

The Warriors (6-6-1, 4-4-1) ended a three-game slide by rallying from a 1-0 deficit vs. the Griffins (8-6, 5-3), who had won four straight games entering Saturday.

Tom Urquhart opened the scoring for Seton Hill 18:45 into the game, assisted by Curtis Gallagher, before Bukowski scored in the 23rd minute and again with 1:07 left in the first half - assisted by freshman midfielder Marcus Torgersson and senior back Christian Casal - for a 2-1 lead.

Freshman forward Irvin Zuzic added an insurance goal 8:38 into the second half, assisted by senior midfielder Andrew McGinley.

Sophomore goalkeeper Will Boerema made three saves for ESU, which had a 14-9 advantage in shots. Austin Iddon had two saves for Seton Hill.

Bukowski's two goals give him eight goals and four assists this season, and 15 goals and 15 assists in his career, spanning 47 starts.

Zuzic notched his fifth goal of the season, giving him points in six of ESU's last seven games with the Warriors going 5-1 in those contests.

ESU recognized its 2000 team, which was inducted to the Athletic Hall of Fame earlier Saturday, with a pregame reception and halftime ceremony. The 2000 Warriors, coached by Jerry Sheska, won the fourth of ESU's seven straight PSAC championships from 1997-2003 and advanced to the NCAA Division II semifinals, the deepest postseason run in Warriors men's soccer history and the first ESU team in any sport to make an NCAA Final Four.

The Warriors have two PSAC games remaining, at Bloomsburg next Wednesday and at Gannon on October 29, around a home non-conference game vs. UDC next Saturday.
