EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior midfielder Ashley Chioda scored her first career goal with 4:28 left in the second overtime, giving No. 2-ranked East Stroudsburg University a 2-1 win over No. 1 Shippensburg in PSAC field hockey on Saturday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

Chioda's goal, scored 95:32 into the contest, gave ESU (14-3, 8-1) its second win over Shippensburg (14-2, 7-1) this season. Senior back Emily Howell scored 2:46 into OT in a 1-0 win at Shippensburg in a non-conference game on September 17.

ESU rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit after Ship scored 18:04 into the game, with Emily Barnard assisted by Kylie Huffman.

Senior forward Robin Stevenson tied it for ESU with 24:45 remaining in regulation with her 10th goal of the season and the 20th of her career, assisted by sophomore midfielder Paige Harrold.

The two teams played more than 50 minutes of scoreless action from that point until Chioda's game-winner.
