EAST STROUDSBURG - Redshirt junior shortstop Conner Crookham and freshman catcher Cameron Kichline both had four hits to lead a 28-hit attack as No. 14-ranked East Stroudsburg University posted a 17-3 win vs. USciences in non-conference baseball on Tuesday afternoon at Mitterling Field.

ESU (27-9) recorded its most hits in a game since at least 2003, with 10 players, including all nine starters, collecting multiple hits.

The Warriors entered the week ranked seventh in NCAA Division II in runs per game (9.5), third in batting (.358), second in on-base percentage (.462) and seventh in slugging percentage (.544) through 35 games - and lifted those numbers to .367/.466/.557 with Tuesday's output.

Crookham and sophomore OF Christian Rishel both homered for two of ESU's nine extra-base hits. The Warriors' 41 home runs this season are three from the school record of 44 set in 2009.

USciences (5-18) held the Warriors off the board for the first two innings, before they pushed five across in the third inning and seven across in the fourth to lead 12-2.

Crookham was 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and two runs in the No. 3 spot and Kichline was 4-for-5 with a triple and three runs in the No. 9 spot for the Warriors.

Redshirt junior OF Robert Bennie was 2-for-5 with two doubles, a walk, three RBI and three runs and junior OF Ian Allen was 2-for-5 with two doubles, a walk, three RBI and a run in front of Crookham.

Redshirt senior 3B Drew Hercik was 3-for-5 with two doubles, a walk and two runs in the cleanup spot, followed by redshirt senior 1B Matt Walewski (3-for-5, sacrifice fly, 2 RBI, run), Rishel (3-for-4, HR, 2 RBI, 2 runs), redshirt junior OF Casey Saverio (2-for-3, RBI), junior 2B/SS Billy Sablinski (2-for-6, RBI, run) and Kichline.

Senior 2B Nick Rabasco was 2-for-2 with two RBI after entering for Crookham as the No. 3 spot in the order enjoyed a 6-for-6 day at the plate.

Sophomore Joe Cominski was the starter and winning pitcher for the Warriors, going 4.0 innings (2 runs, 4 hits, 4 strikeouts, 2 walks). Redshirt sophomore left-hander Dan Woodley (1.0 IP, 2 strikeouts), senior Joe DiGiovanni (1.0 IP, 1 hit, 2 strikeouts, 2 walks), redshirt junior left-hander Marty Martens (1.0 IP, 1 run, 2 hits, 3 strikeouts, 1 walk), sophomore Derrick Jackson (1.0 IP, 1 hit, 2 strikeouts) and Sablinski (1.0 IP) all worked in relief.

Crookham's two-run homer, his sixth of the season and 12th at ESU in just 54 career games, started the five-run third inning.

Rishel hit a two-run shot, his ninth of the year, in the seven-run fourth.

Rishel and Bennie are tied for the team lead with nine home runs, followed by Crookham (6), Saverio (5), Hercik (4) and sophomore catcher Steven Zimmerman, Jr. (4).

Bennie's two doubles give him 26 extra-base hits on the season (15 doubles, 2 triples, 9 HR), already eight from the school single-season record of 34 shared by Mark Angelo and Kevin Thompson (both 2009).
