BUTLER, Pa. - No. 1-ranked Millersville advanced in the winners bracket of the 2016 PSAC Baseball Tournament with a 15-8 win vs. East Stroudsburg University on Monday afternoon at Kelly Automotive Park.
ESU (36-15), which opened the tournament with a 5-2 win vs. Seton Hill on Sunday, will face Seton Hill again on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in an elimination game for both teams.
Seton Hill posted a 6-1 win vs. California in Monday's first game.
The ESU-Seton Hill winner will play the winner of Monday night's winners bracket game between Mercyhurst and West Chester on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
Millersville (46-4), ranked No. 1 in last week's NCBWA Division II poll and No. 2 in this week's Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll, put together 19 hits and scored in each of the first six innings, including a five-run first.
ESU had 24 baserunners on 17 hits and seven walks, but left 18 runners on base.

The first six batters in the order had multiple hits for Millersville - Tyler Orris (2-for-4, HR, 2 walks, RBI, 3 runs), Dan Neff (2-for-6, RBI, 2 runs), Chas McCormick (2-for-3, 2 walks, 2 RBI, 2 runs), Dan Stoltzfus (3-for-5, triple, 3 RBI, 3 runs), Mitch Stoltzfus (4-for-6, double, 2 RBI, run) and Jeremy Musser (3-for-6, 3 RBI, 2 runs).
Cordell Shannon started and went 4.0 innings (4 runs, 3 earned, 10 hits) for Millersville. Logan Grant threw 3.0 innings of scoreless relief to earn the win.
