EAST STROUDSBURG – An 82nd-minute strike from freshman midfielder Marcus Torgersson, the first marker of his collegiate career, helped East Stroudsburg University rally for a 3-3 tie with Millersville in PSAC men's soccer at Eiler-Martin Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Junior midfielder Christian Bukowski and sophomore forward Brandon Levano also scored for the Warriors (1-2-1, 1-1-1 PSAC), who came back from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits in the second half. Each team managed three shots in the two overtime periods, but neither was able to break the deadlock.

The Marauders (3-1-1, 1-0-1), who were picked first in this year's preseason PSAC men's soccer poll, struck first in the 34th minute after Jaxson Burns finished off a breakaway with a low shot into the back of the net. Millersville added a second marker 28 seconds later on a strike from Ethan Woods, and that 2-0 margin held up heading into the intermission.

Bukowski put ESU on the board in the 62nd minute. He took a pass from junior midfielder James McMahon and drilled a low shot into the right-hand corner. Bukowski has now scored in two consecutive games and three of four overall this fall.

The Warriors leveled the score five minutes later after a Millersville hand ball in the box set up a penalty kick. Levano, who also scored on a PK in Saturday's victory at Pitt-Johnstown, delivered again under pressure this evening to make it 2-2.

Andrei Kin helped the Marauders regain a brief 3-2 edge with a 76th-minute header. Torgersson, though, led a second ESU rally five minutes later. Bukowski sent him in on a breakaway from midfield, and the freshman calmly sent a low shot past goalkeeper Darian McCauley.

ESU's defense blocked three of five Millersville shots in the final eight minutes of regulation to ensure that the match would head to overtime.

Sophomore goalkeeper Will Boerema finished with five saves in goal, while Bukowski led the offensive attack with five shots.

The Warriors are back in action on Saturday afternoon, traveling to last year's PSAC regular season champions Mercyhurst for a 3:30 p.m. road contest.
