EAST STROUDSBURG – Junior Keelby Espinola, senior Andrew McGinley and freshman Irvin Zuzic all scored as East Stroudsburg University rolled to a 3-1 victory over Lock Haven at Eiler-Martin Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Warriors (3-3-1, 2-2-1 PSAC) earned their second win in the past three days, while the Bald Eagles (4-3-1, 2-2) dropped their second match in a row.

ESU managed nine shots in each half, finishing the contest with an 18-10 edge overall. Troy Amspacher accounted for most of the Lock Haven attack, totaling seven shots and the visitor's lone goal on a 68th-minute penalty kick.

The Warriors controlled play from the outset. Junior Christian Bukowski sent a shot just wide in the opening minute, and McGinley drilled an attempt inches over the bar less than nine minutes in.

Espinola opened up the scoring shortly afterwards, scoring the second of his collegiate career and his first this season in the 11th minute. In a scramble off a corner kick, junior Ryan Lesane put a header towards the center of the box and Espinola drove the ball past goalkeeper Thomas McLain.

ESU took a 9-3 shots advantage into the intermission, and McGinley doubled the lead seven minutes into the second half. The Lincoln University, Pa., native was led in on a breakaway by Bukowski, and he drilled a low ball into the back of the net to make it 2-0.

Bukowski is now tied for the team lead with three assists, and he has at least one point in five out of seven matches this season. McGinley, meanwhile, now has goals in back-to-back matches.

The Bald Eagles briefly reduced the margin down to one goal on Amspacher's PK, but the Warriors restored their two-goal edge only 1:18 after that strike. Sophomore Brandon Levano left a ball for Zuzic near the top of the box, and he fired a low shot into the left-hand corner for his second goal in as many matches.

Lock Haven managed only one more shot on goal after Zuzic's tally, a hard shot in tight from Amspacher which was stopped by sophomore goalkeeper Will Boerema in the 75th minute.

ESU's victory was its second in the past six matchups with the Bald Eagles, and its first at home in the series since 2010.

The Warriors are back on the road for their next match, traveling to Caldwell for a 4 p.m. non-conference contest on Tuesday.
