Box Score

ERIE - Sophomore forward Monica Wood scored and senior goalkeeper Jules Harris had eight saves as East Stroudsburg University played to a 1-1 (2OT) tie at No. 22-ranked Gannon in PSAC women's soccer on Sunday afternoon.

ESU (8-2-2, 8-2-1) remains unbeaten in its last six games with the tie after winning its last five by an 18-1 goal differential.

Gannon (8-1-2, 7-1-2) is unbeaten in eight straight, posting a 6-0-2 record since a 4-0 loss vs. PSAC leader Kutztown on Sept. 9, and had blanked six of its previous seven opponents.

Wood scored unassisted 2:37 into the second half for ESU, her fourth goal of the season.

Gannon tied it 20 minutes later as Taylor Lewis, last year's PSAC Freshman of the Year and a first team All-PSAC selection, had her ninth goal of the season and the 20th of her career.

Harris made all eight of her saves after halftime for the Warriors, who had a 5-4 edge in shots in the first half before Gannon posted a 22-8 advantage over the final 65 minutes for a 26-13 margin overall.

ESU improves to 6-1-2 all-time vs. Gannon and had won the last four meetings, including a 4-2 win over the No. 1-ranked Golden Knights at the end of the 2015 regular season which propelled the Warriors to the second of their three straight PSAC championships, and the 2015 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region title.

ESU is 8-1-7 in overtime games since the start of the 2014 season.

Senior midfielder Sammi Ortiz made her 80th career start (every game of her career), one from tying two-time All-America midfielder Shea Neal (81 - 2013-16) for ESU's most career starts since the start of the 2003 season.

The Warriors' next action is Friday with a 3:30 p.m. start against Pitt-Johnstown at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
