EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore forward Kobi Nwandu scored a career-high 29 points, leading five Warriors in double figures, as East Stroudsburg University rolled past Concordia (N.Y.), 106-82, in non-conference men's basketball on Monday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Nwandu was 9-for-11 from the field, 3-for-5 from the three-point line and 8-for-10 at the foul line for ESU (4-0), which is averaging 107.3 points per game and has scored at least 99 points each game during its unbeaten start.

Earlier Monday, ESU moved up one spot to No. 6 in the D2SIDA Atlantic Region poll.

Redshirt senior forward Steve Harris had 13 points, six rebounds and five assists, redshirt junior guard Jakwan Jones had 13 points and six assists and senior guard Ryan Krawczeniuk and junior guard Nick Giordano scored 11 points each for ESU.

Junior guard Kitt Najee Walls had eight assists, moving into 10th at ESU in career assists (280) just four games into his third season with the Warriors. Walls had an ESU freshman record 147 assists in 2015-16.

Senior forward Ralik Wise added eight points and eight rebounds for the Warriors.

Cedrick McFadden scored 28 points (9-for-12 FG, 3-for-4 from 3, 7-for-8 FT) for Concordia (3-2), which was averaging 87.0 points but allowing 93.3 per game during its 3-1 start.

Nwandu scored 10 of ESU's final 16 points in the first half - all in a 100-second span - for a 51-33 halftime lead, after the Warriors seized control with an 11-0 run midway through the half.

ESU stretched its lead to as many as 25 (84-59) with 8:31 left, but Concordia trimmed a 23-point deficit (87-64) to nine with a 14-0 run with 5:55 remaining.

The Warriors pushed their margin back to 21 with a 14-2 stretch, getting seven points from Nwandu, four from Harris and a three-pointer by Krawczeniuk.

ESU shot 51.4 percent (38-for-74) from the field, 41.9 percent (13-for-31) from long distance and 77.3 percent (17-for-22) at the foul line while holding a 22-13 advantage in turnovers.

The Warriors had 29 assists on their 38 field goals led by Walls (8), Jones (6) and Harris (5).

Nwandu surpassed his freshman point total (56), which included a season-high nine points in a blowout win vs. Cheyney, in the fourth game of his sophomore campaign. He has scored in double figures in all four games and is averaging a team-high 17.0 points, shooting 60.5 percent from the field and 86.4 percent at the line. He made his first three triples of the season on Monday night.

Five Warriors are in double figures - Nwandu (17.0), Harris (13.8), Jones (12.3), Wise (11.8) and Krawczeniuk (10.8) - with three more averaging at least eight points per game in freshman guard Marc Rodriguez (9.3), redshirt junior forward Josh Williams (8.3) and Giordano (8.0).

The Warriors are averaging 23.8 assists per game with Jones at 7.3 and Walls at 4.0, and hold a +42 advantage in turnovers (101-59) for a margin of +10.5 per game.

ESU returns to PSAC action this weekend vs. Seton Hill on Saturday and California on Sunday. The Warriors opened 2-0 in conference action with wins at Clarion (113-71) and Pitt-Johnstown (99-88) the weekend before Thanksgiving.
