EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior forward Rasheed Moore scored 17 points to surpass the 1,500-point mark for his career, and East Stroudsburg University set a program record for scoring in a 126-60 win over Cheyney in PSAC East men's basketball on Wednesday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.

ESU (15-6, 13-3) pulls within a game of the PSAC East lead after Kutztown (17-2, 13-2) knocked off division leader Shippensburg (18-2, 14-2), by an 81-75 margin at Shippensburg's Heiges Field House.

Moore became ESU's fifth 1,500-point scorer in program history, entering with 1,495 and finishing with 1,512. Moore entered ranked seventh in the PSAC with 17.9 points per game and had his 17 in just 14 minutes of action.

The Warriors broke the school record of 122 points set in a 122-88 win vs. Bloomsburg on February 6, 1971.

They posted the second-highest margin of victory in school history (66), trailing only a 118-51 win vs. PSU Wilkes-Barre in 2008-09, and surpassing the mark for margin of victory vs.  a PSAC school (58) in a 102-44 win vs. Bloomsburg in 2013.

ESU made 17 three-pointers, its most under 15th-year head coach Jeff Wilson.

Redshirt sophomore forward Josh Williams had 14 points, five assists and five steals and sophomore guard Kitt Najee Walls scored 11 points for ESU.

Ten Warriors scored at least eight points in the contest, including all five freshmen who played the final 12 minutes - forward Kristian Alexander (10 points, 3 rebounds), forward Kobi Nwandu (9 points, 3 assists, 2 blocks), forward Michal Weiss (9 points, 6 rebounds), guard Montrel Morgan (8 points, 2 assists) and guard Brett Fosher (8 points).

Redshirt junior forward Steven Stoney had eight points and four assists, including the Warriors' first four points of the game. Junior guard Ryan Krawczeniuk added nine points off the bench.

ESU had 30 assists on its 45 made field goals and shot 45-for-74 (60.8 percent), including 17-for-27 (63.0 percent) from the three-point line.

Rafiq Marshall had 22 points, six rebounds and four assists to lead Cheyney (2-19, 2-14).

ESU forced 32 Cheyney turnovers, had 15 steals and a season-high eight blocked shots, and had a 47-8 advantage in points off turnovers.

The Warriors led 51-20 at halftime after holding Cheyney to an 0-for-9 mark with eight turnovers to open the game.

ESU led 18-3 at the 12-minute mark, which stretched to 42-13 with six minutes left in the half.

The Warriors opened the second half with a 24-4 run, starting with a three by Moore and finishing with a three by Krawczeniuk, to lead 77-24 with 14 minutes left.

Moore (3-for-3), Krawczeniuk (3-for-5), Morgan (2-for-2), Alexander (2-for-2), Walls (2-for-3), Foster (2-for-3), sophomore guard Nick Giordano (1-for-3), redshirt sophomore guard Jakwan Jones (1-for-1) and Williams (1-for-1) all connected from behind the three-point line.

Wednesday's contest was the 2,064th in program history as the Warriors improve to 1,064-1,000 all-time, including 268-152 under Wilson, who ranks 12th in career wins in PSAC history.

ESU had its sixth 100-point game of the season and third with at least 110 points. The Warriors won 105-64 at Cheyney on December 30 and won their 17th straight in the series. The school record for 100-point games is seven, set in 2013-14 (30-2) and tied in 2015-16 (21-7).

ESU hosts Millersville (7-13, 6-10) on Saturday at 3 p.m.
