EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior left-hander 
Ian Allen and redshirt senior right-hander 
Conner Crookham were impressive on the mound, and Allen led a 21-hit attack at the plate as East Stroudsburg University swept Kutztown (10-2, 5-1) to post a 3-1 weekend series win in PSAC East baseball on Monday afternoon at Mitterling Field.
ESU (15-12-1, 5-6-1) won Sunday's opener, 3-1 (9 inn.), behind an eight-inning mound effort from senior 
Tyler Eckman before Kutztown prevailed, 3-2, in the nightcap.
The Warriors sent four senior starting pitchers to the mound in the series and notched a run differential of 20-7, allowing just four earned runs in 29.2 innings.
Allen threw a complete game in Monday's opener, allowing just a pair of unearned runs on five hits, struck out 11 and walked two.
Crookham followed with 6.0 innings in the nightcap, allowing one run on four hits with six strikeouts and two walks.
Allen was 5-for-7 at the plate with two doubles, two RBI and three runs, including 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs in his game one start.
ESU had 10 extra-base hits among its 21 knocks, including home runs from junior C 
Steven Zimmerman, Jr. and freshman OF 
Carson Freeman in the opener.

Dylan Tamecki was 4-for-7 with two doubles and three runs in the twinbill, redshirt senior 2B 
Jay Young was 3-for-7 with a double and two runs in the leadoff spot, and four Warriors had two hits each - Zimmerman (2-for-4, double, HR, HBP, 2 sacrifice flies, 5 RBI, 2 runs), Freeman (2-for-6, HR, walk, 3 RBI, 3 runs), freshman SS 
Joey Paolini (2-for-4, walk, HBP, RBI, run) and redshirt senior OF 
Casey Saverio (2-for-5, double, walk, 2 RBI, run).
For the weekend, ESU hit .300 with 33 hits, including 14 for extra bases. Allen led the way with a 6-for-13 mark, and Zimmerman was 4-for-9 with two doubles and two home runs.
Young entered ESU's career top 10 in hits (181) and Zimmerman entered the top 10 in home runs (14).
Allen's 11 strikeouts give him 149 for his career, moving within one of becoming the sixth player in PSAC history and second in ESU history with 150+ career hits (178) at the plate, and 150+ strikeouts on the mound.
The Warriors return to PSAC East action this weekend vs. Millersville, the defending NCAA Division II Atlantic Region champion and national runner-up. The Marauders (19-11, 5-7) dropped three of four vs. division-leading West Chester over the weekend.
GAME 1 - W 10-2
Allen's 11 strikeouts marked his sixth career 10-plus strikeout effort in his 25th career start, and his third in seven starts this season. He yielded just unearned runs in the first and fifth innings while going 3-for-4 at the plate.
After Kutztown scored in the first, ESU jumped in front with three runs in the second and four more in the third to lead 7-1.
Tamecki led off the second inning with a double, Freeman had a one-out single and stole second, and the Warriors had a pair of two-out run scoring hits - a two-RBI double by Saverio and a single by Paolini - to make it 3-1.
Allen pitched around two walks to start the third with a strikeout and a double play, and singled and advanced to second on an error to start the bottom of the inning and open a four-run frame. Zimmerman had an RBI double, Tamecki doubled and both scored on a three-run homer by Freeman, his third of the season, for a 7-1 lead.
The Warriors added another in the fourth as Paolini and Young singled and Paolini scored on a fielders choice by Allen.
Allen threw 1-2-3 innings in the second, fourth and sixth, including back-to-back strikeouts to finish the sixth inning.
ESU tagged on two runs in the bottom of the sixth as Allen singled and Zimmerman followed with a two-run homer to left, his fifth of the season and the 14th of his career.
The Warriors had 15 hits with Allen and Tamecki for going 3-for-4. The 2-3-4 hitters - Allen, Zimmerman and Tamecki - were 8-for-11 with three doubles, a homer, four RBI and six runs.
ESU knocked out Kutztown starter Mike Kammerer, who had a 2.96 ERA in 27.1 innings, in the third (2.1 IP, 7 runs, 9 hits).
Allen pushed his season strikeout total to 48 in 32.2 innings. He improved to 11-5 in his 25 career starts and threw his fifth complete game.
GAME 2 - W 5-1
Crookham went 6.0 innings and ESU used a four-run third inning to break the game open and complete the sweep.
ESU started fast in the bottom of the first as Young singled, Allen doubled and Zimmerman lifted a sacrifice fly to left field for a 1-0 lead.
Crookham hit the first batter in both the first and second innings but got double plays in both frames, and pitched out of a second-and-third situation in the third before the Warriors scored four in the bottom half.
Young and Allen traded places with a pair of doubles to start the inning, Allen moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on the second sacrifice fly of the game by Zimmerman, Tamecki singled and junior 3B 
Laine Renaud belted a two-out, two-RBI double for a 5-0 edge.
Kutztown plated its only run on a solo homer by Nick Lafferty with one out in the fourth. Crookham got a pair of strikeouts to strand a runner on first, stranded two more runners in the fifth and had an uneventful sixth in his final inning of work.
Junior 
Nick DiEva pitched a scoreless seventh to close out the victory.
ESU had four doubles among its six hits, with Young and Allen both going 2-for-3 in the first two spots in the order.
Kurtis Holtz threw 3.0 innings of scoreless relief for Kutztown after ESU got to starter Josh Houser (3.0 IP, 5 runs, 6 hits).
GAME NOTES
* Allen entered the weekend t-1st in the PSAC in extra-base hits (18), 2nd in total bases (66), t-4th in HR 96) and RBI (29), 5th in slugging percentage (.759) and 1st in stolen bases (21) before his big series vs. Kutztown.
* Eckman lowered his ERA to a PSAC-best 1.38 with his 8.0-inning, one-run performance on Sunday at Kutztown.

Ben Stine allowed just 2 runs in 6.0 innings in Sunday's 3-2 game 2 loss at KU.
* Crookham was 3-for-4 with a double and a run in the 3-1 win at Kutztown in the series opener.
