HERSHEY, Pa. – Sophomore
Micaela Crines registered East Stroudsburg University's lowest score of the day for a second-straight afternoon, as the Warriors concluded the 2018 PSAC Golf Championships with a seventh-place finish in the team standings.
Crines carded an 83 on Sunday, a performance which was tied for seventh out of 44 golfers overall. It was just one off her season-best round of 82 which was established at the ESU Invitational on Sept. 16. Crines finished tied for 18th in the final standings with a three-day score 255.
Freshman Tatum Henry followed in a tie for 21st place (257) after repeating her Round 2 score of 88. Senior
Caterina Daniels (t-30th, 274) and junior
Amy Bergquist (t-35th, 280) were the other contributors to the Warriors team score.
ESU shot a 1066 overall across the three days, finishing 11 ahead of eighth-place Seton Hill and 23 back of California in sixth place. The Warriors have placed seventh at each of the past three conference tournaments.
Henry's opening round 81 was the lowest score by an ESU golfer during the now-completed fall season.
West Chester earned its first-ever PSAC Women's Golf Championship, with a final score of 951 beating out Kutztown by 13 strokes. WCU's Juliarose Genuardi topped the individual rankings after shooting a 16-over 229 (71-75-83) across the tournament's three days.
