Aubrianna Stetina earned a straight-set singles victory from the No. 2 position, highlighting a 5-1 defeat for East Stroudsburg University in its fall season finale at St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday.
The Warriors (1-3) also received a 6-2 win from sophomore
Amanda Jackson and freshman
Charity McLeod at No. 3 doubles, but the Spartans (5-8) won at the top two flights to claim the doubles point.
Stetina's singles triumph, her 10th at ESU, was a 6-4, 6-3 decision over Anna Ristova.
Junior
Marina Zardet and St. Thomas Aquinas' Katarina Lopez each won a set via tiebreaker at No. 1 singles, but the match went uncompleted due to impending darkness. McLeod had the next closest singles contest, winning eight games in a 6-4, 6-4 setback to Ulyana Kitcmanuk.
The Warriors are now off for the remainder of the semester before beginning the spring portion of their 2018-19 schedule in March.
