Laine Renaud had the go-ahead RBI single in the ninth inning and redshirt freshman
Nate Fiala threw 5.0 innings of one-run relief as East Stroudsburg University rallied past USciences, 7-5, in non-conference baseball on Sunday afternoon.
ESU (1-3) overcame a 4-1 deficit through two innings to pick up its first win of the season after an 11-6 loss vs. Le Moyne on Friday, and two setbacks vs. Saint Anselm (3-2, 4-0) on Saturday.
Fiala entered in a 4-4 game in the bottom of the fifth inning after the Warriors scored three in the top half and went the rest of the way, allowing four hits with three strikeouts and no walks.
USciences (1-2) had a two-out RBI triple off Fiala in the fifth, but ESU tied it again with an unearned run in the top of the sixth on a two-out infield RBI double by redshirt sophomore OF
Tom Nuneviller.
Fiala stranded two in the sixth and had 1-2-3 innings in the seventh and eighth.

Steven Zimmerman, Jr. had leadoff singles, followed by the go-ahead hit by Renaud, who advanced to second on the play with Zimmerman cut down at third. Sophomore
Carson Freeman followed with an RBI double for a 7-5 lead.
Fiala got a strikeout, groundout and popout to end it in the ninth.
Cina was 2-for-4 with three RBI, including a two-run homer for the first two runs in the three-run fifth - his second home run of the weekend for the transfer from Niagara County CC.
Renaud (2-for-5, 2 RBI) had the game-tying RBI double in the fifth.

Joey Paolini (3-for-4, 2 runs) and Zimmerman (2-for-4, run) also had multi-hit games as the Warriors had 14 hits overall.

Hiro Mizutani started and went 4.1 innings for USciences (4 runs, 3 earned, 6 hits, 6 strikeouts, 2 walks) with Eric Stratoti going the final 4.2 innings (3 runs, 2 earned, 8 hits, 3 strikeouts, 0 walks).
Nate Steele (3-for-3, 2 runs) and Jordan Stennett (3-for-4, double, 2 RBI, run) both had three hits for USciences.
Renaud (4-for-10, 3 doubles, 2 RBI) was ESU's top hitter in Holly Springs and one of five Warriors with four hits, along with Zimmerman, Paolini, Cina and freshman 3B
