EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior guard Ryan Krawczeniuk scored a career-high 26 points as East Stroudsburg University ran past Lock Haven, 118-102, in the highest-scoring game in Koehler Fieldhouse history in PSAC East men's basketball on Thursday night.

ESU (16-5, 13-4), fifth in NCAA Division II with 92.4 points per game, topped 100 points for the school-record eighth time this season.

The Warriors opened a 27-9 lead just over seven minutes into the game before Lock Haven tightened the margin to 57-51 at halftime, but ESU led by double figures for the final 13 minutes and by as many as 21 at the four-minute mark.

Amir Hinton, the PSAC's second-leading scorer (22.9 ppg), had 39 points for Lock Haven (7-14, 5-12), which edged the Warriors 89-82 on January 6 in central Pennsylvania. Hinton's 39 are the most against ESU since Stephen Dennis scored 42 in Kutztown's 87-84 win in January 2010.

The previous high mark at Koehler was 213 combined points - a 120-93 loss vs. Millersville - on December 6, 1967, the second-ever game played in the fieldhouse.

This also marks the fourth time in school history both teams have hit 100 points in regulation, and the first since a 125-107 loss at Millersville in January 1989.

Kawczeniuk had 13 points in each half, shooting 8-for-11 from the field, 5-for-6 from the three-point line and 5-for-5 at the foul line, to lead six double-figure scorers for ESU.

Redshirt senior forward Steve Harris had 15 points and five rebounds, senior forward Ralik Wise had 14 points and seven boards, sophomore forward Kobi Nwandu and freshman guard Marc Rodriguez scored 11 each and junior guard Nick Giordano had 10.

Junior point guards Jakwan Jones and Kitt Najee Walls both had nine points and six assists.

All 10 Warriors scored at least six points, with sophomore guard Montrel Morgan scoring seven and redshirt junior forward Josh Williams getting six.

Krawczeniuk added five assists to his 26 points, as ESU had 25 assists on its 44 field goals - shooting 56.4 percent (44-78).

The Warriors were 11-for-22 from the three-point line and 19-for-27 at the foul line. Their 118 points are tied for fifth-most against a PSAC opponent in school history.

Hinton was 12-for-19 overall, 3-for-5 from three and 12-for-12 at the line for his 39 points, including 22 in the second half. Ra'eese Hunt had 21 points, Jihad Barnes scored 12, Matt Cerruti 11 and Tarojae Brake 10.

ESU, the DII leader in turnovers forced (22.8) and steals (12.6) and second in turnover margin (+8.0), had a 23-11 turnover advantage with 10 steals.

Lock Haven shot 56.7 percent (34-for-60), 6-for-17 from long distance and 28-for-35 at the line. Three Bald Eagles had five turnovers - Hinton, Barnes and Brake - and Hinton and Hunt played with four fouls for most of the second half.

The Warriors opened their early lead with the strength of an 11-0 run - three free throws by Krawczeniuk, a three by Rodriguez and a three by Krawczeniuk in a 42-second span, followed by a layup by Walls - and ESU had a 35-19 lead at the second media timeout.

ESU's scoring pace "slowed" for the rest of the half - finishing with 57 - but picked up again early in the second half as the Warriors forced turnovers on LHU's first four possessions.

ESU hit the 75-point mark with 14:30 left, had 91 points at the 10-minute mark and eclipsed 100 with 6:15 remaining.

The Warriors scored 61 points in the second half after netting 57 in the first, while LHU scored 51 points in each half.

ESU is has won seven straight vs. Lock Haven at Koehler, including PSAC Tournament first round games the last two years, and is averaging 98.1 ppg with seven 100-point efforts in the last 12 meetings.

ESU hits the road for two of its three games next week - a make-up date at Cheyney on Monday, followed by a trip to Bloomsburg Wednesday before hosting West Chester Saturday.

ESU is just one game behind PSAC East leader Shippensburg in the loss column after Ship (17-4, 13-3) fell 87-84 at Millersville on Monday night.

West Chester (18-4, 14-4) and ESU both have four conference losses, and Kutztown (15-5, 11-5) is another game back.

While ESU is off this weekend, Shippensburg travels to Lock Haven, West Chester hosts Cheyney and Kutztown goes to Mansfield.
