EAST STROUDSBURG - Former East Stroudsburg University men's basketball standout forward Rasheed Moore has been named MVP in Germany's fourth division in his first professional season, helping BV Villingen-Schwenningen to promotion to the third division next season.
Moore averaged 21.4 points and 7.4 rebounds in leading Schwenningen to a 26-1 record and the South-West division title.
At ESU, Moore was the first four-time All-PSAC East selection in Warriors men's basketball history (2014-17), including first team honors as a junior and senior.
Moore ranks fourth at ESU in career points (1,776) and rebounds (775), tied for seventh in blocks (93) and second in both free throws made (446) and attempted (623), helping the Warriors to an 88-30 record in his four seasons (116 games, 113 starts).
He finished his career with NABC Division II Atlantic Region second team honors as a senior, averaging 18.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. He shot 51.3 percent from the field and posted career-bests in three-point percentage (46.9) and free throw percentage (78.7). He scored 20+ points in a dozen games and his 522 points were ESU's fourth-most in the last 25 years.
Moore was also selected to participate in the NABC Reese's DII All-Star Game.
He was named PSAC East Freshman of the Year on ESU's 2014 team which finished 30-2, won the PSAC championship and reached the NCAA DII Atlantic Region final. The Warriors won the PSAC East regular season title in both 2014 and 2015 and reached at least the PSAC quarterfinals all four seasons.
